Impressive arch top oak hymn board with hand carved detailing.
There are five rows with where card hymn numerals would've been displayed and slot openings to the r/h side, now ideal for displaying family photographs.
The hymn board was originally a rather unappealing and flaky dark brown given that it had received layer upon layer of thick varnish in its previous incarnation. We carefully scraped back all of the excess varnish to bring out more of the wood grain and have applied a generous coat of bees wax to provide a more attractive finish.
Given it's large size and weight, there are four screw holes for attaching it to a wall.
