Early 20th Century sideboard of substantial size with fantastic “as found” distressed crackle glaze yellow paint finish.
It's believed that the sideboard has received smoke damage from a house fire given its rich discolouration which adds a great deal of character and appeal. No fire damage to the actual cabinet itself. Some signs of historic worm mostly localised to the central lower back that has been treated.
Hand cut dovetail joints on the drawer. Separator/ compartment to the rear of the drawer.
Finished with a light coating of matt clear wax to keep the time worn marks and incredibly attractive distressed colour.
We've also included images of the cabinet with the pediment removed as we feel that it changes the look of the cabinet a great deal and is equally as appealing.
The height measurement stated includes the pediment.
Without the pediment the height is 104cm.
